Voluntary participation of members in dedicated groups
RECS International is a European non-profit organisation. The members that pay a membership fee can join active working groups within the association.
RECS International consists of:
- A Management Board of RECS-I with nationally elected members and their substitutes.
- A Core Group consisting of a smaller group of board members that focusses on dialy management of the association.
- The Secretariat of RECS-I, manned by two persons, hired by RECS International.
- Several working groups, focussing each on a specific topic or issue.
The active working groups at the moment are:

WG Demand Side: With a focus on the creation of a more transparent international certificate market. For this purpose, they have worked on guidelines for the RECS International Quality Standard.

WG Users Group: With a focus on the issues and barriers of the system operated by the AIB. They work on proposals and solutions to improve the system for the market players. They also enhance interaction between RECS International and the AIB.
